Where They At!?

Every page is an open road, every poem the vehicle in which the poet travels, every open mic his/her destination, for if home is where the heart is, than the stage is where we live! ~ Tre G.

Born like all humans with a creative soul either by nature or nurture Jonathan Ware cultivated his creativity.  Gravatating towards the Piano and Tuba at the early age of 7.  He started playing for his church in middle school and soon after joined the Jazz Institute of New Jersey where he Studied under Radam Swartz learning how to Improvise and compose music.  In high school he started experimenting with writing song lyrics and soon after got trapped into the realm of poetry.
Mixing both music and poetry and art he strives to use everything that he has in performance.  Jargon his stage name is actually a nick name he got when he was in marching band .  Once he started to perform it all made sense so he stuck with it.  He has played an important role in the starting of Montclair State University's Slam team and poetry club organization Speaking Through Silence.  Currently he is a member of a super group of poets, musicans, and artists called IMPROMPTU based in Somerset, NJ.  Along with Impromptu he helps run "THE REACTIVATION SERIES" which is an open mic series featuring a wide range of performers.

Should The Sun Not Shine Tomorrow

Should the Sun not shine tomorrow
Climb crystal cirrus clouds
levitate out of the exosphere
travel the staircase of density
til all eight planets are stuck in a new gravitational pull, pull pluto too
Illuminate the Solar system, emitting ultraviolet and infrared rays
NON-STOP
SHINE LIGHT
HELP LIFE
Envision greatness
Radiate brilliantly
Move through the Milkyway dominantly
As majestic Suns should
YOU ARE
DIVINELY CREATED
HIGHLY FAVORED
Helium and hydrogen fusing constantly colliding creating edgy energy
Let inward reactions catalyze outward terrestrial growth
Be the important heavenly body visible in the sky
The reason kids ask Why?
Be the answer to the question
Evidence perfection is existing
Shock the disbelievers whose faithless matter
Won't believe even when
their skin tans two shades darker than black that you are the Sun
They won't believe you are the Sun!
BE THE SUN

Peak through pregnant stratocumulus clouds
witness hands quickly protecting eyes
away from covering shadows that run with time
on uncut stepped on mangled scenary
Full of well cooked home-cooked meals
Sealed packages sweat dripped on
Softly splatted off familiar cheeks
Smell the scent of jokes shared
Snare laughter that is sure to follow
Place the planet in a pleasant orbit
Bringing jovial salutations compacted in a picnic box
Enter hearts baring Ancient gifts of old
GLARING, SEARING, BURNING
TRANSMITTING, perpetual peace
TRANSMITTING, uncontrollable love
TRANSMITTING, interchangeable tangent respect
GLOWING, GLEAMING, INTENSLY
INTENSIFY TO SIX THOUSAND KELVIN SURFACE TEMPERATURE
Gather the misguided

STRIP THEM OF THEIR CHOKING JACKETS
AND THEIR MOCKING MAKE-UP

LIFT THEIR HIDING HOODIES
AND THE ESCAPING JEWELRY

SHORTEN THEIR SUFFOCATING SLEEVES
AND DEFECATING EMPLOYMENT

RELIEVE THEM OF PERSISTENT NIGHTMARES
BREATHE DELIGHTFUL DAYDREAMS FORCEFULLY!

AWESOMELY DAWN ON MAN
GATHER THE CREATURES

SET THEIR EYES TOWARDS SUNDAY
ENDING HIBERNATION

GIVE THEM THE COURAGE THAT WAS
COWARDLY TAKEN AWAY

BE THE SUN
.....Should it not Shine tomorrow
BE THE SUN
